Uzodimma deserves Christmas cow  from Ihedioha

By Ori Martins

The Mbaise elders particularly the PDP Apex Leaders have demonstratively made it clear that they were solidly behind what they described as the positive aspiration of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha for the November 11, 2023 Imo State governorship election.

In a letter signed by the three zonal apex PDP leaders namely, His Excellency, Air Commodore Luke Ochulor, former military administrator of Delta State., Chief Mike Ahamba, SAN., and Chief PGU Madu, representing Ezinihitte, Aboh Mbaise and Ahiazu Mbaise LGAs respectively, the leaders under the umbrella of Mbaise PDP Apex Leaders, threw thier weight, support and obligations to Ihedioha’s 2023 Imo governorship ambition.

The elders and leaders dismissed a recent report which claimed that Mbaise nation had endorsed the national secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, insisting they were not a party to the so called endorsement.

According to it, “Our attention has been drawn to a purported endorsement of Senator Samuel Anyanwu, National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  for the 2023 Imo State governorship election by some individuals in Mbaise Clan.

“We wish to make it clear that we were not part of any such meeting or its  purported outcome”.

The Mbaise elders and leaders stated it without any fear or contradiction, of their unflinching support for the former Imo State governor, Ihedioha.

“It is important to restate that the entire Mbaise Clan is obviously and solidly in total support of their son, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, who was duly elected by the good people of Imo State in the March 9, 2019 governorship election.

“We make no pretences to state the fact that Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha remains the darling and indeed the popular choice of the Imo electorate ahead of this year’s governorship election based on his sterling leadership qualities and unrivaled scorecard during the seven.months of his Rebuild Imo administration”, the release enthused.

The group also warned all agents destabilization and groups with divisive tendencies to steer clear of Mbaise country. It states, “We wish to seize this opportunity to caution overzealous elements not to play politics with our emotions”.

The leaders of thought noted that “rumour mongers, peddlers of fake news, divisive elements and purveyors of deceitful ambition are hereby warned to steer clear of Mbaise land and desist from making further reckless and inflammatory statement with serious issues of governance of our State at this very critical time”.

It is on record that not just the Mbaise leaders and people but virtually all groups in Imo cutting across political, religious, cultural, professional and social leanings have been calling for the return of Ihedioha who proved beyond doubt that Imo could work in his seven month reign.

Also, almost all the 27 LGAs covering the three senatorial zones are in solidarity and one accord in their separate and collective demands for Ihedioha’s re- election on November 11, 2023.
