…” Samuel looked at Eliab, and said , surely the LORD’s anointed is before him…..But the LORD said unto Samuel, look not on his Countenance, or on the height of his stature ; because l have refused him ; For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart”( 1 Samuel 16: 6-7).

l shall come back to this , as we navigate. HAPPY SUNDAY.

With the right spirit or with the spirit of God, one could clearly see that , GOD is about to speak, about to act , about to streamline things to achieve his goal or to prove who he is , over who becomes the president of the Country in 2023.

lt takes the spiritual eye to spot the difference. The silver linings. To see that GOD is about to do something. Something amazing. Something awesome. Something miraculous. l have seen it.

l am talking about the political parties, with the APC and PDP in the frontrow. But anything can happen and the first two, may be the last two. Something is happening in the spiritual realm.

For the first time in the political history of Nigeria and since its independence in 1960, about Sixty (60) Nigerians are aspiring to be president of the Country. With APC having about 28 and PDP having about 23.

With every geo-political zone laying claim to the office of President for 2023, even when they know or are aware that, it is the turn of a particular zone- the South East, to occupy the office this time , after President Muhammadu Buhari.

It’s not ordinary. Something is about to happen. G0D is at the verge of doing something that would be difficult to imagine or comprehend .

You see aspirants leaving as minister of transport, minister of Niger Delta, minister of Science and technology, minister of petroleum (state), Minister of Education (state) , etc , to vie for the presidency of the country. GOD in action.

At the beginning, it was like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had pocketed the Presidential ticket of the APC. That development saw a lot of people, including governors looking at his side.

Only few could know that God was still turning the table.

The Vice- President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo arrived , with a ” bang and swag”. The feeling in some quarters was that, he could be the anointed ” child ” . The heir- apparent . Some governors also rushed to enrol. The flame has also been lowered.

GOD is still turning the table.

Before one could close and open his or her eyes, Rotimi Amaechi came with the belief in some quarters that, he was the aspirant after the heart of President Buhari.

That Amaechi “episode” reduced the noise about Tinubu and Osinbajo.

One, two, three, Ahmed Lawan, the Senate president, surfaced with the general belief that the National Assembly members would all be for him .

The current picture has proved otherwise. Just like that of those before him . ln other words, God is still turning the table.

The same scenario is equally playing out in PDP. Gov. Nyesom Wike , most people had thought was for Atiku Abubakar, has also become a strong aspirant , looking for who to ” devour”.

Aminu Tambuwal, Saraki, Anyim and Peter Obi , are all strong aspirants , to the extent that , you can’t write any of them off.

Tinubu was in Kaduna. He was given a ” presidential reception” by Governor Elrufai. Tinubu drove Elrufai around. Every one had the feeling that Kaduna delegates would opt for Tinubu.

In less than 48 hours, Amaechi was in Kaduna. And the same Elrufai reminded the delegates, how Amaechi funded CNC rally even when he was a governor in another party. Reminded them how Amaechi saved him from the onslaught of SSS. And concluded by telling them that, your friend is the one available for you at the time of need.

GOD is still turning the table.

No one can pin anything down for now. Some Governors people had believed were for Tinubu, recently and openly bought nomination forms for other presidential aspirants.

ln other words, for them , Tinubu has become an ” opportunity cost “. A ” forgone alternative “.

Look closely, it won’t be the issue of money. Or, issue of touring the states to meet tricky governors and delegates. GOD is about to make a statement.

I only pray that , when GOD finally speaks , let it be in favour of my own choice. My own preference. My own candidate. He answers Rochas Okorocha.

However, if GOD choses another person , especially from the South East, either Emeka Nwajiuba or Anyim or Peter Obi, to him be all the GLORY and HONOUR. I am a human being. And part of the prevailing political system and l am entitled to make a choice. And it is my Prayer that, in turning the table, let it be in favour of my own choice, Okorocha .

You can also offer your own prayer if you believe in the amazing power of prayers. Make your own confession. Nobody has the monopoly or franchise of doing that.

If Okorocha becomes President, l will be in Owerri and declare myself Minister of Communication. Do you understand? . And don’t envy me. We are making progress.

Now , back to my opening quotation.

GOD had told Prophet Samuel to get King Saul’s replacement, among the sons of Jesse.

Jesse began to call out his handsome, well-framed and well-educated children, perhaps, with fat pockets.

Eliab , was called out first. Then , Abinadab, Shammah. Jesse called out those he felt should be anointed king . GOD rejected all.
Samuel asked Jesse , ” are here all thy children?”.

Jesse said, ” there remaineth, yet, the youngest and behold he keepeth the sheep”.

Know the import of the word ” yet”.

And why did Jesse begin to tell Samuel the job of David?. Keeping sheep, when he didn’t disclose the vocations of others.

For me, he only wanted to discourage Prophet Samuel about David. And little did he know that, God had already told the Prophet that he doesn’t see things the way you and me see them. GOD had given the Prophet the template.

The prophet told Jesse to bring that his son, he associated with “yet”. And also said that, he would not sit down until the guy comes.

Jesse ” brought David in. He was ruddy. ..godly to look to”.
The ” LORD said, Arise , annoint him: for this is he”.

Obu ya. Na this one. Obu Onye nkaa- emphasis , mine.

” Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him, in the midst of his brethren”.

Which means, the frontliners were also present , when the ” ruddy ” guy, was crowned and given Certificate of Return and ultimately sworn-in . lam done. GOD is turning the table to anoint someone . Don’t believe me, but take cognisance of my postulations.
