Youth  empowerment: Dr. Agwarra raises over N10M  for Labour Party

An American based legal luminary and a chieftain of labour party, Dr Libo Agwarra has raised over ten million naira (N10million ) for the youths of labour party to enable them run the affairs of the party before, during and after the 2023 elections.

Dr Agwarra who was the chairman of the fundraising event of the labour party at The Place Event centre, Owerri, on Saturday, noted that the youths need money and materials to run around for the success of the elections and for the emergence of a new Nigeria to be led by His Excellency Mr Peter Obi. He said, it is time for Nigeria to move from a consumption to a production economy and that it is the youths that will be deployed to man such economy. Dr Agwarra explained that the difference between American economy and the Nigerian economy is the availability of productive outlets where one can work and be paid handsomely. He urged other stakeholders to support the youths in this struggle for the emergence of a new Nigeria where people can move freely without being slaughtered, and where hunger and poverty will be a thing of the past.

In his speech, the chairman of labour party in Imo state, Chief Ambrose Onyekwere said the youths have done a lot sacrificially to ensure that Peter Obi emerges as the next president of Nigeria and should be supported at this time to enable them deliver. He thanked Dr Libo Agwarra for donating a building for labour party in Imo state and for supporting the youths at this time when his support is highly needed.

The State youth leader of labour party in Imo state,, Comrade Chris Okorondu who was the chief host of the Imo youths OBI-DATTI appreciation Day, thanked everyone for coming and thanked specially Barr.(Dr) Libo Agwarra for accepting to be the chairman of the event and for his financial supports to the youths of labour party. He said the youths of Imo state must utilize the resources given to them to ensure the success of labour party in Nigeria and Imo state in particular so as to have a better today and a secure tomorrow. He charged all supporters and members at all levels of the party to remain focused, and steadfast to the course as to become victorious in the end.

The highpoint of the event was cash donations to the tune of more than ten million naira N10million and other pledges to the youths.
