August 23 (Newshour.com.ng) – Joy thrilled the hearts of the Sole Administrator of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Barr. Ogechi Njoku-Ehirim, her household, relatives, in-laws and others who felicitated with them as they dedicated their first son, Master Chiudo Chimeziri Ehirim, to Church.
The child dedication took place at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, MCC Road, Uratta, Owerri North LGA, while reception was held at Rockview Hotel, Owerri,Imo State on Sunday.
People from all walks of life including Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prof. Placid Njoku, ALGON Chairman, Hon. Adm. Willie TC Okolieogwo, Obowo, Ahiazu Mbaise, Owerri Municipal Council SOLADs among other government functionaries, attended the child dedication ceremony.
The Deputy Governor and the appointees prayed to God to continue to sustain the child, give his parents the wisdom to train him in Godly ways so that when he grows old he would be of good conduct while being responsible and devoted to humanitarian activities.
Speaking, the mother of Master Chiudo Chimeziri Ehirim, Barr. Ogechi Njoku-Ehiri, thanked God for the gift of his son who she said she is well pleased, promising to train him in the ways of God, describing her son as a rare gift who she said is divinely gifted, a bunch of laughter to Ehirim’s family.
Njoku, who added that she was happy that the boy came when she is the Sole Administrator of Aboh Mbaise Council, heartily thanked those who came to felicitate with them, praying that the joy of the Lord would not depart from their households.
While thanking Governor Hope Uzodimma for finding her worthy for appointing her as Sole Administrator of Aboh Mbaise LGA where she mentioned she delivers good governance in line with the 3R agenda of rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery, Ehirim reiterated her resolve to help lift Aboh Mbaise.
“I am Hope Uzodimma’s personified in Aboh Mbaise. I will also deliver in the 11th November 2023 guber poll in the area to ensure that the Governor is 100% reelected as governor. He merits second term because he has performed excellently especially on road construction, rehabilitation and youth empowerment. We are looking forward to a more better Imo where every body will be happy and comfortable. Also, I thank the people of Aboh Mbaise who came to celebrate with us. I pray that celebration will not elude them”, Njoku maintained.
Hence, she called on the people of Aboh Mbaise to keep faith in their resolve to give their 100% mandate to the APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming election in Imo State to enable him win to deeply consolidate good governance.
Stating that he felt good dedicating his son to God, father of the celebrant, High Chief Obinna Ehirim, said he wished his son well. “I wish him to be his own man, to be great in life. I appreciate people who graced the event and pray that God will always touch them with his abundance of blessing”.
Njoku-Ehirim who reflected that he holds PhD in Mechanical Engineering, teaches in the University in America where he said he has stayed for over 26 years, hinted that he did not name his son, Chiudo Chimeziri Ehirm, English name because “I have not seen any American who named his or her child Igbo name. All the same America is a good place where humanity is deeply, richly valued and respected”.
