As Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC continued to generate traffics on the social media, the National Chairman of National Rescue Movement,NRM,Hon. Amb. Isaac Chigozie Udeh has envisaged “voting revolution” in next year general elections.
Hon. Udeh through telephony interview expressed displeasure that both the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and People’s Democratic Party, PDP presidential primary elections were dollar and naira reign exercises for political parties delegates calling on Nigerians to shun the two major political parties in 2023 general elections.
He recalled that Nigerian youths have tasted the strength of the citizens with EndSARS protest and saw the effects of united minds and spirits and decided to go back home and restrategize instead of expressing their angers through “open street revolutionary”. “They decided to go and massively obtain their PVCs in readiness for what is called “ballot boxes revolution” to chase APC and PDP out of powers. Because there’s no different between APC and PDP. You have to agree with me that the different between APC and PDP is like the different between 12 and a dozen, it’s just a figure. Statistically,82 percent of the current total Permanent Voters Cards in Nigeria belongs to youths. And it is no longer voting for APC or PDP,but vote for who you think that can rescue Nigeria.
What happened in Anambra State Governorship election last year and that of FCT Councils elections should serve as an eyeopener to them”.
“It’s a pity that APC Government has subjected Nigerians to abject poverty,no good road network,no electricity,no job opportunities, insecurity everywhere,no price controls of food items. Nigerians are waiting for a payback time to APC and PDP. And the time is the forthcoming general elections. 2023 general elections will be quiet different from 2015 and 2019 style. The money that maybe given to agents by their pay masters to influence voters will not sale again”,he insisted.
The youthful National Chairman described his party as third largest political party in Nigeria with radical ideologies that would rescue Nigeria from the state of total collapse, stagnancy, confusion, insecurity, abject poverty if elected into power come 2023. “NRM is financially and strategically prepared for 2023 general elections. So, I am urging Nigerians to make NRM an alternative political party. By the grace of God,we are going to record a victorious outing. Our party stands for national unity, that’s why we earlier zoned our presidential ticket to Youths and women communities.
We decided that youths ranging from 35 and 55 age bracket no matter any tribe you hail from in Nigeria, you are eligible to contest for Presidency under our party platform.
And after widely deliberations, the party decided to cede the ticket to South East where an Imo State-bon son emerged the Party’s Presidential Candidate.
So,we are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that our party becomes a household name in the next few months”,Udeh added.
