Having satisfied by achievements of All Progressive Congress, APC led Federal Government as well as the Shared Prosperity administrative mantra of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Ogbuagu Celestine Iwuagwu has given kudos to the political party for being visionary in governance and enjoined Ndigbo to embrace the party as their own.
Iwuagwu who’s popularly known as Ikukundu Ndigbo disclosed this at Umuezeala Umuopara in Ehime Mbano council area when the leaders of the party in the ward led by Mr. Ifeanyi Ohaegbu as the ward chairman visited him in his ancestral home on Thursday and officially handed him over of his party membership card which he applied for over six months ago.
The political icon expressed happiness for joining the party while assuring of employing his patriotic commitments and nternational wealth of experiences in uplifting the party and government of Imo State if offered the opportunity.
He commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his efforts in repositioning the state in terms of infrastructural developments and welfare of the people and advised him not to give up.
Earlier in his speech, HRH Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanweh, the Chairman of Okigwe Elders Forum, OKEF described Iwuagwu as an illustrious son of Okigwe Senatorial zone and applauded his exploits at Houston Texas while working as an Aviation management officer.
Eze Ohanweh recalled several philanthropic gestures the astute politician offered members of his community before, during and after the Covid-19 pandemics and appealed to him not to relent in helping humanity.
Adding his voice, Mr. Ifeanyi Ohaegbu, the APC Chairman of Umuezeala Ward further commended the political leader for joining the political platform and assured him of inclusiveness in affairs of the party.
Ohaegbu pointed out that with the entrance of Ikukundu Ndigbo into APC that the area is quite sure of discrediting every opposition in all INEC conducted elections describing the politician as a man of integrity and pedigree.
Among eminent personalities that graced the historical occasion are Mr. Kennedy Anyaeze and Hon. Etete Chidiebere, the party’s Ward Secretary and Councillor respectively.
