Owerri, March 30 (Newshour.com.ng) – The newly appointed Special Adviser on Northern Affairs by governor Hope Uzodimma , Hon. Amb. Hassan Adamu Sokoto has tasked the nineteen governors of the Northern States of Nigeria to immediately appoint their aides on Igbo Affairs.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri on Thursday 30th March, 2023,Hon. Hassan Adamu, a Kebbi State-born Cow Dealer, United Nations Peace Ambassador and All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Campaign Council Chairman of South East Hausa Community in the just concluded general elections was of the opinion that appointing core Igbos as Special Advisers on Eastern Affairs to the Government of the nineteen states of the North will strengthen inter-state businesses and guarantee unity, peace and progress of Nigeria.
He thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for giving adequate security, conducive atmosphere and level playing-ground to carry on their various businesses.
“I thank Governor Uzodimma for giving me the opportunity to serve my people. I promise to work with fear of God and I will not disappoint my people. I will make sure that all the northerners from the 19 states of the northern Nigeria feel the impacts of Uzodimma’s good governance. I will equally make sure that northern governors appoint Igbo Affairs Aides so as to work in tandem in arresting our business challenges”,he promised.
In furtherance, Adamu Sokoto congratulated the President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Shettima and APC elected,Governors,senators, House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly members especially the 27 Imo House of Assembly members-elect.
According to him, “APC won landslide in Imo because of the tremendous achievements of Governor Uzodimma. The resounding victory was an indication of Uzodimma’s good governance. Look at Owerri-Orlu, Oweri-Okigwe and Owerri-Umuahia Roads. We can now boast of good road network in Imo State. I am optimistic that Uzodimma will complete 8years in the office.
And I am using this medium to charge muslims in Imo State seize this holy moon of Ramadan to pray for peaceful Imo gubernatorial election come November 11th,2023 and Uzodimma’s re-election”.
