The former Senator of Okigwe Zone, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, has commended INEC for improving on BVAS and called on the federal government to increase the optimal network for better use of the machine.
He disclosed this in an interview with journalists at his residence, Isiobu, Mbano LGA, Imo State, after casting his vote.
Araraume said days were gone when some people would go to voting centers and highjack ballot boxes or add figures in results sheets, saying nobody talks about it, so INEC has done some remarkable improvement.
“So, if you want to snatch ballot box, you are on your own, what are you going to do with it, next election will not just be, maybe some gadgets which are very cheap where you can credit and then the ballot papers are pressed and they will roll out, they don’t just roll out, they show on the screen, then push the button, click and put them inside the machine, that way it will make ballot papers, all those will be in proven and we expect that happens and I am sure in the next election cycle there will be lot of improvement and this gives a lot of confidence and if we had this in 2019, some of the things that happened should not have happened, he said.
