Battle for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency: Ogbuagu is crying like a drawn man, says Charlvon

By Kelechi Ugo

The ruling All Progressives Congress,APC Campaign Council Chairman of Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, Prince Charles Amadi has stated that the Candidate of Labour Party for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Hon. Uche Ogbuagu in the current inconclusive election is crying as a drawn person.

It would be recalled that Mr. Ogbuagu who is a current member for Ikeduru State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly had earlier held a press conference where he accused Prince Amadi, the biological father of the APC Candidate for Mbaike Federal Constituency,Akarachi Amadi of intimidating electorates, manipulation of votes and threat to life.

However, the election of the House of Representatives held on 25th February, 2023 was inconclusive in Mbaike Federal Constituency as no candidate has been declared the winner of the election.

Meanwhile, Independent National Electoral Commission,I NEC has not fixed a new date for the re-run election.

Speaking to journalists in his Owerri residence, Prince Charles Amadi flayed the alleged manipulation of number of voters and diversion of polling units to his Eziama-Ikeduru’s palatial home stating that Ugbuagu is crying for a cheap popularity.

Prince Amadi further denied all the allegations challenging Ugbuagu to provide evidence to buttress his claim.
According to him,”I was surprised to read about the world press conference organized by the Labour party candidate, Ogbuagu who was expected to concentrate on how to take part in the re-run exercise than feeding the public with lies. Already,APC has all it takes to win the election”

“People should advise him to focus on his re-run election. INEC has a regulation that once there is a case of over voting in any election, such election should be cancelled”, Amadi added.
