The candidate of Okigwe North Federal House of Representatives for Labour Party (LP), Hon. Chikwem Onuoha has urged the People of Imo State to join the party, even as he described it as a movement.
In compliance with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s, INEC, guideline on Campaign, as party of his consultations, Hon. Chikwem Onuoha was in a town hall meeting with the Youths of the Federal Constituency in Owerri, on Wednesday, to interact with them on the need to get their, PVC and encourage their people at home to do same,
explaining that it was a prerequisite for joining the movement.
He pointed out that the awareness of been part of the mobilisation of taking back the country for LP in the forthcoming general election is growing like a wild fire.
He disclosed that their message was to ensure that the movement of taking back the country is taken to the grassroots.
He said: “There is a movement going on now, “and for you to be part of it, you must obtain your PVC, ”
He however, charged the people of the area to go home sensitize and encourage their people to avail themselves the opportunity to participate in the exercise and be part of the movement.
According to him, the party will transform the country for a better society.
The Umuaro, Isiala Mbano born vibrant youth further commended INEC for extending the Voters registration to 60 days, saying the commission has improved in the electoral process.
Earlier during the meeting, the Director General of Chikwem Campaign Organisation, Comrade Chidinma Onyenagubo said the party would take over the entire South East and win the Presidential election in 2023.
The President of Okigwe North Youth Forum called on the people to join the party for economic emancipation.
