The Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS) Management has faced hard time and confusion over managerial high-handedness and indecency as it has remained in negative news since the sudden emergence of the Commissioner for Finance’s Personal Aide, Mr. Ifeanyi Okeke as Chairman.
The confusion started when the Head of Cooperate Communications Unit, One Mr Femi declined knowledge of the suspensions of any senior Staff against the widely published news of the suspension of the Head Human Resource/Administration, Mrs. Chika Okoliegbe.
Femi, who was directed to interface with the Newsmen yesterday by the Chairman Mr. Ifeanyi Okeke on his behalf declined the knowledge of any short fall in the management of the Imo State owned Internal Revenue Service both in human resources and capital gains in revenue generations.
He however stated that issues concerning the management of the State Government Agency are not meant for public consumption as they have ways of taking care their problems.
Femi blatantly told journalists that it is infantile to discuss the internal issues of the Agency with the Public that he is not aware of any form of suspension of any of the workers and challenged Journalists to provide him with the suspension letter, and simply tagged . the alleged suspension as “executive gossip” between the IIRS Chairman and the embattled Human Resource Head, Mrs. Chika Okoliegbe.
Meanwhile,an impeccable source from the agency told journalists that no official letter was serve to Mrs. Okoliegbe as regards to her suspension, but a conspiracy by the management to wisk out Mrs Okoliegbe who refused to dance to tone of their “sharp practices”.
