Barely four months into the appointment of Development Centres Management Committee by Imo State Governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma, major crisis seem to have enveloped the Osu Ama Anara Development Centre in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the State.
Members of the Osu Ama Anara Development Centre Management Committee who rose from a meeting held at the office on Wednesday 23rd November,2022 said the Coordinator, Hon. Echereodo Uchechukwu had not accounted for the Seven Million Naira received so far from the State government, adding that all efforts made to call him to order proved abortive.
In a Communique jointly signed by 5 members of the Committee which included Hon. Akobundu Enyioma (Leader), Hon. Iwueze Chigaemezu, Hon. Golden Uzowuru(Spokesman), Hon. Ogechi Nzeocha, Hon. Chief Alisigwe K. D and made available to newsmen at the end of the meeting on Wednesday, saying that the meeting was conveyed by all the management team after almost 3 months the Coordinator failed to convey a meeting.
They also passed a vote of no confidence on him, insisting that the party must move forward in the area.
According to the release which read in parts, ” That 4 Months into our appointment, the management has nothing to show due to the high-handedness of the coordinator, Hon. Echereodo Uchechukwu.
“The Coordinator has openly told us, the members that he is not for any party,, he is for all Osuama Anara Development Centre as he hid under that ploy to pledge his loyalty to Labour Party, evidence was when he shared our empowerment form to members of his alleged party, Labour Party.
“The Coordinator absconded from a party meeting he was invited to address APC faithful.
“All his activities are against the purpose of His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma to reach out to the grassroots on development.
“We also demand the immediate removal of the Secretary, Mrs Nwemeh K. J and the Accountant, Mrs. Nwadike Chikaodi, they continue to conspired with the Coordinator to siphon the ₦7M allocated to the centre.
All our interest is to deliver APC Candidates at all levels during the general elections but the Coordinator is frustrating our efforts.
“After months of our appointment and Inauguration, we are yet to familiarise with our various Communities
“We also passed a vote of no confidence on him (Echereodo)”, the Committee Concluded.
