– Says Hero Square now Criminal hideout for all manners of illegal activities and extortions

A group of concerned Imo citizens have accused the Commissioner of Transport, Imo State, Barr. Rex Anunobi of extortion and diversion of revenue through one Frank Uche. They allegedly accused him of turning the former Hero Square, now Real Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Center into hideout of all manners of illegal activities and extortions that is detrimental to the administration of governor Hope Uzodimma.
The group revealed that the Ministry of Transport under Rex Anunobi has flagrantly disobeyed the directives of the governor and forcefully takeover the work of ENTRACO, and setup taskforce of his own headed by Frank Uche, Onyewuchi Ukachi known as Enyioha to enforce truck and heavy duty movement and trial of offenders in Owerri Municipality which causes cohesion, dragging the name of the governor to the muld.
The group told our correspondent that they have some evidences of the continuous fraudulent activities, diversion of government revenues and other Irregularities in the transport ministry.
They said that the Commissioner of Transport’s placeholder, Frank Uche used his closeness with government appointees to cover up their dirty and illicit businesses including extortion of Motorists, Touting, diversions of the State Internal Generated Revenues and destructions of governent property by allowing heavy duty vehicles Trucks to ply Hero Square semi-dual carriage road.
They group also alleged that the commissioner for transport, Barr. Anunobi, is only interested in his daily returns against the interest of the governor Senator Hope Uzodimma by splitting into units several section to ensure evenly distributions of dreaded taskforce teams using the Aboh Mbaise born Transport extortionist kingpin Uche Frank as a head for a daily returns of cash or tolls undermining the governor’s approved Single Treasure Account ,(TSA).
According to them ” they have continued to extort and siphon huge amounts of money from the major Transport Company’s purportedly to issued them the State Waivers to ply in an unauthorized hour’s within the Owerri municipality without any clear evidence of remittance of the same amount to the State TSA as we opted to expose more facts about the nefarious activities of the ministry through this online news portal.”
When contacted the Ministry of Transport Traffic Officer, Comrade Frank Uche declined to speak with Newsmen on the alleged extortion, diversion of Imo Revenue and other charges levelled against them.
