September 7 (Newshour.com.ng) – The Traditional Ruler of Umuokanne Ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Sir Matthew Chiedozie Nwokoma, Eze Okaa-Omee, the 4th, has commended the Publisher and Staff of Hero Express Newspapers, Owerri, for issuing him with an Award of the Most Outstanding Traditional Ruler in Imo state, while marking the Paper’s One Year Anniversary, last Friday.
The traditional ruler made this commendation to some newsmen at the New NUJ Secretariat ,New Owerri, while interacting with them on the received award.
Nwokoma expressed delight over the celebrated anniversary, adding that he has a very strong belief in the publisher, Leonard Ajokubi and his set goal of reaching a greater height in newspapering.
The jovial retired senior police officer reiterated that he had earlier followed the constant movement of the publisher on the right lane of life, adding that it is a thing of glory to God for his Federal Constituency, Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta, to have produced a refined journalist and a publisher like him.
The vibrant traditional ruler equally used the avenue to advise the publisher to anchore his publication on truth and not on falsehood, for the betterment of the society.
He maintained that with his regular leaning on God and truth in his chosen field, the publisher would go higher.
The traditional ruler concluded that his worthy selection for the award by the Hero Newspapers from the numerous traditional rulers in the state would continue to propel his gratitude to God, referring such as a mark of respect and honour.
In a similar development, the traditional ruler’s wife, Ugoeze Testimony Ijeoma Ngozi Nwokoma, submitted that the position of her husband as the traditional ruler of their Community, Umuokanne, was given to him by God and can be peacefully retained by him. She added that her husband’s sleepless nights for the good and progress of his people must not go unrewarded by God, asserting that he would continue to move higher and higher along side Imo state and Nigeria.
It could be recalled that the one year anniversary of Hero Express Newspapers attracted many dignitaries who graced the occasion.
