By Ori Martins

He is a man who does simple things in a very unusual way. He is predictable and unpredictable. Predictable in the sense that he praises, commends and gives you kudos when you perform creditably, particularly if you are close to him.

TOE will give you the worst fight of your life if you misinterpret it that his relationship with you guarantees you to do things wrongly. He will go mad with you, even publicly.

You cannot talk of the events that dramatically and sensationally denied then governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, from installing his son – in – law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, from succeeding him, without giving TOE an elaborate mention.

At a time all Imo APC leaders and members seemed to have been conquered and pummeled into line for Nwosu’s endorsement as the next governor of Imo State in 2019, TOE moved against it. He formed a movement, The Imo APC Coalition. With this, he made his popular Imerigwe Declaration which became the soul, spirit, guide and working document in the fight against Nwosu’s inordinate 2019 governorship ambition.

That way, TOE provided the technical grounds, the moral latitude and the political pad that ultimately stoped Chief Nwosu from being enthroned as the Imo State governor in 2019.

Let it be noted here that TOE is a faithful friend as well as a formidable foe. He can fight a lion just to rescue anybody he identifies as his friend. The same way, TOE is ready to pullout a chess nut out of an ovum, employing all known constitutional, legal and every known ethical code to get at you the moment he identifies you as his enemy.

A socialite and easy going personality, High Chief Ekechi is a diehard Arsenal fan. Ask anything you want from him when Arsenal are doing well and you will get it. But never come near him when the Gunners are wobbling and fumbling for you will get it hot!!!

Very dynamic, hard working, dedicated and enterprising, the Great TOE is an astute businessman, a leading industrialist and a renowned political exponent. He is the serving South East representative, North East Development Commission.

When you toe with TOE, you certainly will have it beautiful in all ramifications for he is a man of integrity, honour and dignity. At least, his elder brother is the traditional ruler of his community just as he is a devout Christian and devoted Catholic – he paid a private visit to the Catholic Pontiff the last time he was at the Basilica, Rome.

Happy birthday, High Chief (Dr) TOE Ekechi!!!
