I am stepping back to my valued family, says Princess Calista Anene … Unveils her undying support to APC

From  Everest Ezihe, Owerri

Princess Calista Anene, the Senior Special Assistant, SSA to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs, says her resolved to go back to Canada is to conduct her regular medical checkup, revive her businesses and take care of her family while restating her unflinching support to All Progressives Congress, APC wherever she is.

Princess Anene disclosed this on Thursday at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri while interacting with newsmen who were anxious of her traveling when serious political activities are about to commence in the State and Nigeria at large.

Recalled that Princess Anene was one of the Frontline aspirants under APC political platform during the primary for 2023 Oguta State Constituency having seriously contested the position in 2017.

The astute politician likened her experiences so far in Imo State and Nigeria at large to a student studying Politics as a Degree Course , according to her “as the course lasted, all her fellow students, lecturers ,professors and Vice Chancellor were all amazing because the lessons while the courses lasted were worth the sacrifices, risk ,time and money spent” .

According to her“It is therefore, based on personal principles and with great humility that I have decided after wide consultations to pack my belongings and step back to base .Hopefully, I will come back to observe the adult service when opportunity and time permits” .

The political Amazon said for almost a decade now she abandoned her high earning jobs in Toronto Canada and family due to her passion to serve her people patriotically even as she lamented on the anti social vices facing the state and the nation at large.

She expressed regrets that her dream and passion of given her people quality and effective representation was forestalled but through her NGO- Amede Ajie Foundation she was able, will continue to positively touch lives of indigent youths, men and women of the area and beyond.

The Nigerian born Canadian citizen ,Who hails from the revered Umuoga Royal family of Ngegwu village in Oguta community revealed that she planned to make Oguta constituency the continental economic power house which would have guaranteed high quality of life to the vast majority of the people ,through human capital development.

According to her “It is because of the foregoing that I found it morally compelling to introduce myself into the political space in order to provide tangible solutions to these problems.”

She reiterated that her foray into active political participation was driven by passion and commitment to the cause of salvaging Oguta State constituency which she lamented is on the verge of collapse.

Princess Anene further said that “my exposure locally and internationally as regards the well being and welfare of individuals positioned me to take up the challenges facing our dear constituents and – the courage to participate in this grueling exercise called politics, which most of our elites have shunned away from. Regrettably the political system has proved to be acrimonious, corrupt and self-serving.

“For the past five months I had the privilege of intensive interactions with Leaders/stakeholders of my political party and constituency, from all walks of life and ages .This reinforces my resolve that Oguta LGA “MUST BE saved, otherwise our future is doomed” she notes.

She further pointed out that ” she joined the contest as a realist , with an open mind to keenly contest and accept the result of a process that is fair, credible and transparent.

I wish to reiterate that I did not join party politics and to contest for the IMHA because of personal gains and inordinate ambition, but in order to serve my people,State and country ” She assured.

The political icon applauded her numerous supporters more especially members of her campaign organisation and the party leadership for their tremendous support while reassuring her political family that her purpose, mission and vision will live on beside politics until her last day on earth .

Princess Anene further pointed out that, as a very loyal party member and believer in the progress process, that she will continue to avail herself and her teeming supporters at all times to ensure victory for their great party,APC, while wishing all the party’s candidates victory during the forth coming general elections.

She also commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for the privileges given to her to serve in his Shared Prosperity and 3 R mantra Government as well as her most recent aspiration.

The social crusader also vowed to remain steadfast with the Governor who she described as her political hero, boss and brother as well as their great party wherever she is.

Anene further revealed her plans to host an interactive zoom meeting to thank, encourage and reassure Oguta LGA Stakeholders,Leaders ,Party Executives , her political supporters and ardent followers immediately after her arrival in Toronto Canada on standing with their great party APC.
