The Sole Administrator and traditional rulers of Ikeduru joyfully welcomed governor Hope Uzodima and his enturage on a town hall meeting as they commended his numerous achievements since he assumed office.
Speaking, Rev, Chidi Ndubuise Nwanebu (CNN) said that the people of Ikeduru are grateful for the impact the shared prosperity has made through the Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and the Recovery agenda of the governor’s administration.
He pointed out that there are various signature projects of the governor scattered all over the state, especially on road infrastructure, healthcare, education, the civil service, the judiciary and other sectors.
According him, the feat of reconstructing the Owerri- Okigwe and the Owerri- to Orlu Express Road which ease movement, adding that the governor has displayed a high level of foresight, patriotism, discipline, prudence, as well as enough capacity to govern the state.
He also thanked the governor for approving 5 kilometres of road for Ikeduru, thereby bringing development closer to the LGA.
The Solad used the opportunity to thank the government for the various appointments given to the people of Ikeduru in his administration and urged him not to relent in his efforts in changing the narrative in the state.
Rev Nwanebu, who disclosed his impact since he assumed office, stressed that he has been working in synergy with the security agencies in the state to ensure peace and stability across the 29 autonomous community that make up the council.
In his words, the Chairman of Ikeduru Council of Traditional Ruler, HRH, Eze Peter, expressed happiness and commended Uzodima on his efforts and recognition of traditional rules through the provision of mobility and described him as a man of humanity, assuring that the people of Ikeduru will give him their unalloyed support on his re election.
He further prayed God to keep the governor safe to continue his good intentions towards ensuring that Ikeduru and Imo State at large see the light of tomorrow.
The governor in his remarks thanked the people for the warm reception given to him and assured of his continuous service to the state.
The governor stated that his only regret is the issue of insecurity caused by the enemies of the state but assured that Mbaike constituency will partake in the dividends of governance as the administration progresses.
