May 2 (Newshour.com.ng) – A pressure group known as Alliance for Democratic Development (ADD), has endorsed the Accord party candidate, Ikenga Johnjude Okere, for the November 11, 2023 Imo State governorship election.
In a statement made available to journalists in Owerri and signed by its coordinator, Comrade Clinton Etoasidi, ADA stated that it endorsed Johnjude on three cardinal points.
According to him, “At this critical moment of our history as a people, in Imo State, we need a leader we can trust based on competence, capacity and character. So far, among the candidates across party lines, Johnjude Okere is the only one that possesses all these three defining attributes”.
He added, “two, you cannot talk about good governance without considering equity, justice and fairness. In this instance, of the three political zones in Imo, Orlu has ruled for 20 years and Okigwe four years. Owerri has had just seven months. Therefore, for balance of power, it is worth doing for a credible Owerri Zone ward to be elected the next Imo governor”.
Etuasidi finally noted that Johnjude’s idea and programmes are the most commendable as they are well detailed on how insecurity will be curbed., provide jobs for the jobless., cause agricultural revolution as well as bring about economic development even sports, entanglement and tourism invigoration.
Moreover, the ADA coordinator revealed that Johnjude Okere has devised a means through which he would fight corruption, and by so doing, attract both local and foreign investors to the state as well as improve revenue drive for optimum result.
