The candidate of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) for Isiala Mbano State Constituency in the March 18th Imo Assembly election, Engr Chima Akuzie, has warned Chief Tony Chukwu to stop interfering with Isiala Mbano politics and face his constituency, Ehime Mbano.
Engr. Akuzie gave the warning on Tuesday in Owerri while reacting to what he described as unacceptable interference of the Ehime Mbano born business mogul in Isiala Mbano assembly poll to impose his candidate on the people.
According to him, Isiala Mbano State Constituency has capable leaders to decide and determine who represents them in the tent Imo State House of Assembly and not Chief Tony Chukwu who hails from Ehime Mbano LGA.
Akuzie who expressed dissatisfaction over the development, also said that Chukwu has been disparaging his name, saying that he ( Akuzie ) will be compensated by his APC government after the election with a contract award.
Akuzie who further described the development as unfortunate, insisted that it is unfair and unacceptable for Chukwu to assume political leadership position both in Ehime Mbano and Isiala Mbano LGAs, as if there are no credible leaders in the area.
Akuzie who is also a business magnet therefore, called on leaders, stakeholders and the entire people of Isiala Mbano to say no to the ugly trend, maintaining that the people’s aspiration and choice must prevail in the forthcoming assembly election.
It should be recalled that notable leaders, women and youths in Isiala Mbano LGA, last week, endorsed the ADC candidate as the most credible and competent to represent the constituency in the state house of assembly.
