May 18 (Newshour.com.ng) – Yesterday, the neatly serene but high profiled residential environment of Achike Udenwa Estate, New Owerri in Imo State, Nigeria stands still as, Rev. Dr. Divine Eche surprised his wife, Esther by sumptuously celebrated her birthday with few friends, associates and relations without her being in the picture of the plans.
Eche who’s Imo State Chairman of Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN said that, he decided to invite people to celebrate her wife birthday whom he calls”My Treasure” without her consent even in the planning as this is the first time since their wedding in 2009 of the wife celebrating her birthday outside their nuclear family.
He also said that the decision to celebrate her birthday this year with few closed friends, associates and family members is exclusively his as a mark of his sincere love to her and in appreciation of her supportive roles to the upliftment of the family.
According to him, ” my wife who’s my treasure, is part of my destiny helpers in life. She’s my Editor in Chief and my best critic and admirer. Apart from God ,she is the brain box and stabilizer behind the success of our 14 years of marriage. A Senior Lecturer at Alvan Ikokwu Federal College of Education, Owerri with humility as her strength. Her trust in God is infectious, yes ! She is extremely intelligent with simplistic and humility as her bedrock. She’s not the talking type but highly objective and constructive whenever she wants to talk.
” Am pleased to tell you all,that am at peace in my marriage because she’s my discovered lost rib. Highly tolerant, accommodating and a patient listener. Honestly, I must confess, I have learnt a lot from her, since we wedded in 2009. Bold, courageous, highly perseverance and respectful. She’s endowed with the best handwriting I have ever seen.. This is the first time, she is celebrating her birthday with our friends, close associates and relations other years was a nuclar family affair. I deliberately sent the invitation this morning to those of you here so that my plans of celebrating and honouring her before you all will not leak to her days before” he said.
The suprised birthday celebration which happened in their exotically designed residential garden was also specied up with melodious standing band that energized the environment with good christian and happy birthday songs. The entire street stood still for her with three beautifully designed cakes on top of one was graphically inscripted,” Happy Birthday To My Treasure”.
It was like a testimonial evening as most of the dignitaries took time to eulogized her as a role model, a supportive wife, biblical Esther and Deborah of our time. Some others described her as a phenomenal woman, beauty with intelligence and the proverbial virtuous woman. That her name is Esther and she lives a life of biblical Esther to the husband, family and the church of God.
Responding, the overwhelmed celebrant, Dr. Mrs Esther Divine Eche, expressed gratitude to God for His immense grace and favour upon her life as well as her youthful husband whom she also called her treasure.
She actually confirmed that the celebration was a surprise to her but as a woman who is in control of her environment, she sensed that her lovely husband is out to surprised her but she entrusted her fears into God’s hands.
The Senior lecturer confessed that since she got married to the man of God that she have enjoyed peace and love in her marriage insisting that she feels highly honoured and favoured and prayed for God’s favor upon all that honoured her.
While expressing special gratitude to her mother inlaw and her husband’s family members for their labour of love, she further thanked God for His faithfulness and mercy upon her husband, family and marriage which described as wholesome, marvellous and being renewed every day like the strength of the eagle .
Highlight of the occasion was her cutting of the well designed birthday cake presented to her by her husband of 14 years of fruitful and lovely marriage, that its harvest has been bountiful including 2 daughters of Zion and 2 Abrahamic boys. Food and drinks were excess.
