The Traditional Ruler of Amuzu Nwafor Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state ,Eze Dr .Dennis Nnaji has decried high level of insecurity in the area.
Speaking to NewsHour correspondent in Owerri, the Imo State capital i,Dr Nnaji noted that some hoodlums have been vandalizing Transformer’s of his community making his community to stay out of electricity for a period of time now.
He disclosed that so many criminal activities has been going on in his autonomous community as he is calling on government and security agencies in the state to come to come to their rescue.
“For the past years now we have been in darkness due to vandalization done to the transformers by hoodlums , and when we resolve to put new one this year 2022 the same criminals came and made away with cables worth over 800,000 thousands naira”.
“We cannot continue like this,l want the authorities to look into our problems to ensure we have a lasting solution in Amuzu Nwafor Autonomous Community”.
Eze Nnaji called on son’s and daughters of the autonomous community to come to their aid by providing funds to local vigilantes that will protect the community from the hands of hoodlums who always put the community in a tight corner.
He therefore used the opportunity to call on the state government to provide enable environment for youths who are unemployed to be useful to themselves, their families and the community at large.
He .further ,adviced youths to stop the in take of unlawful substance called ‘mpurumiri’ and other harmful drugs that always make them to look for money any how,no matter the outcome.
Dr. Nnaji commended the state government transformation programme led by Senator Hope Us of in a and urge him to complete the Ahaira ,Ngor-okpala road he promised to do before the raining season set in.
