Owerri, April 1, (Newshour.com.ng) – Members of a formidable socio-political organization known as Imo Hope for Good Governance have unanimously adopted the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for second tenure in the office.
Moving motion for the adoption of Governor Uzodimma as their sole candidate for Imo gubernatorial election come 11th November,2023, the Spiritual Director of the Association,Rev. Goddy Judah described Uzodimma as a God fearing leader who deserves another tenure for the over all benefits of the State.
Rev. Judah recounted the achievements of Gov. Uzodimma to include all-inclusive governance, reconstruction and rehabilitation of quality roads urging religion leaders to join hands together to re-elect him.
In her remarks, the Imo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Mrs. Rubby Emele described the Association as a unique group thanking them for taking a bold step of becoming the first support group to adopt Gov. Uzodimma for second term.
Hon. Mrs. Emele commended the Director-General of Imo Hope for Good Governance, Pastor Chris Mbarie who is also the Sole Administrator of Orlu Local Government Area for sustaining his structure all over the 27 LGAs of the State.
She maintained that re-election of Gov. Uzodimma remains a collective task of every member of the present “Shared prosperity” government in Imo State as his second term will be a pay-back time.
The Commissioner mentioned the achievements of Gov. Uzodimma to include quality reconstruction of urban-rural roads and rehabilitation of school blocks and hospitals.
Earlier, the DG of Imo Hope for Good Governance and Orlu LGA Sole Administrator, Pastor Chris Mbarie expressed his group’s readiness to deliver Gov. Uzodimma come November 11,2023 guber election.
According to him, Imo Hope for Good Governance is deeply rooted in the 305 political wards in Imo State and had assiduously worked for the victory of Gov. Uzodimma in 2019.
He further expressed their commitment towards embarking upon programmes that would enhance more mobilization for Gov. Uzodimma whom he described as a capacity sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the forthcoming Imo gubernatorial election.
