The Imo state chapter of the National Consultative Front ( NCFront) has held meeting with its aspirants and entered into synergy ahead of the upcoming 2023 elections.The meeting which held at Mayor Courtyard ,& suit on Sunday attracted the high and mighty in Imo state.
It should be recalled that Professor Pat Utomi’s led National Consultative Front NCFront started operating since 2019 but became stronger in 2020 till date. It has branches in the six geopolitical zones of the country and seven hundred and seventy four (774) local government areas. The South East Zonal NCFRONT is ably led by Barr. Ihechi Ike from Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state.
Speaking during the meeting with the stakeholders, the Imo state chairman of National Consultative Front NCFront, Hon. Chief Chinonye Ezuruike said, NCFRONT has a well organized structure in the state with strong presence in the 27 LGAs and 305 wards of Imo state. He noted that NCFRONT is the 3rd force movement that will remove PDP and APC from power in 2023.
Ezuruike said,” We are working with the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, the Trade Union Congress TUC and the Association of Global Igbo Traders ably led by Mazi Nice Chijioke.” He added that NCFRONT adopted Labour Party and made Peter Obi the presidential standard bearer of the party.
The Imo state leader of NCFRONT however urged all aspirants who came to run under Labour Party through NCFRONT to do the necessary things required to run for various positions in the party stressing that NCFRONT and the Labour Party is the platform that would beat in all elective positions in the country come 2023 elections.
Responding, one of the aspirants, Evangelist Ugorji who spoke on behalf of colleagues thanked the Imo executives of NCFRONT for providing them a platform to pursue their political ambitions and promised to maintain a cordial relationship with the group during and after the elections. Mr Ugorji enjoins Imo aspirants to come and identify with Imo NCFRONT and Labour Party as that is the authentic platform to win 2023 polls.
