Even as Imolites are poised in few months now to take a critical decision on who Governor’s them in the next political dispensation, Nze Hyceinth Nnabuife is optimistically vowing that Chief Basil Maduka is the man divinely and physically positioned to restore good, visionary and purposeful leadership in Imo State.
Nnabuife who’s a chieftain of Labour Party, LP in the State said this on Sunday in Owerri while addressing Journalists on the state of the State and the gubernatorial primary preparations of his party which comes up barely 2 months from now, even as the party has commenced sales of forms for her governorship primary.
He lamented that for ages now, Imo State has been entrapped with lack of accelerated development and transformation when compared with her contemporaries.
This he allegedly credited to lack of visionary, purposeful and good leadership insisting that Maduka has the charisma to transform and repositioned the Eastern Heartland State to greater glory if given the chance.
Nnabuife who hails from Orlu Senatorial zone of the State also noted that “Maduka is one of the Frontline governorship aspirants under Labour Party. The aspirant made a name in oil and gas where he’s still a key player. He has contributed immensely in socioeconomic developments of Imo State through philanthropy and charity. He’s well read and globally acceptable as digital and team player” he assured.
The political icon further informed that youthful Maduka who hails from Ezinihitte Mbaise where for years now he has been describe as a pillar and man of the people, attributes he said he earned due to his humane, leadership capacity and philanthropy.
He expressed optimism that LP will offer him their governorship ticket based on his popularity, integrity and pedigree and reassured that if the political party gives him the ticket, that certainly their victory at the poll is rest assured.
It’s pertinent to recall that Maduka during the last political dispensation had an inordinate ambition to represent the good people of Owerri Senatorial Zone in the Red Chamber’s under the political platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, despite his financial muscle and popularity among the delegates, he was given a political baptism of fire that frustrated him to join LP probably as the better political vehicle to achieve his political destiny.
