The executive members of South East Methodist Church of Nigeria, had paid homage to Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Community Policing, HRM, Eze Dr. Emmanuel Okeke and his Cabinet Members, last week, at their office in Owerri.
Speaking, the group led by the Bishop, RT Rev. D Jacob Okechukwu Onwukwe, said the visit was geared to familiarize, work and pray for God’s intervene and reduce crime and insecurity in Imo State, appreciating the Monarchs especially on their efforts to maintain peace and orderliness in Imo State.
In his response, Eze Okeke expressed happiness over the group’s visit and thanked them for finding them worthy as he urged them to always pray for God will answer all their prayers and minimize killing, burning of properties and others so as to enable the governor who he said cries everyday to restore peace and unity and bring back Imo State to its originality.
The visit saw all the executive members of the South East Methodist Church and the 27 Local Government Chairmen of Council of Traditional Rulers.
The highpoint of the visit was the gift of Bible presented to Eze Imo.
