The Board Chairman, Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission ( ISOPADEC) and traditional ruler of Nkwesi Ancient Kingdom, Oguta local government of Imo State, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Prof Dele Amuzienwa Odigbo, Eze Igwe 43rd of Nkwesi Kingdom, has congratulated the Commissioner for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Imo State, Rt Hon. Goodluck Nana Opiah, on his recent Ministrial appointment by President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari.
Eze Odigbo, who made his feelings known while speaking to the Peoples Hero on the appointment recently, described it as a step in the right direction, saying that Opiah is eminently qualified for the position.
Describing it as well-deserved appointment, he said that the Egbema-born politician had all it takes to perform well, considering his past antecedents and wealth of experience, as he has occupied many important and sensitive positions in the past, like office of the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly and member, Federal House of Representatives, a development he said would help him in the discharge of his duties.
While expressing the hope that Hon Opiah will deliver, the Royal father, who mentioned him as a worthy son of Oru, said that he had never disappointed them before, and enjoined him to perform beyond expectations.
He however thanked President Buhari for finding him worthy to serve the Country in that capacity. He equally commended Senator Hope Uzodinma, the executive governor of Imo State, for his recommendation and support.
The ISOPADEC Boss assured of continuing support to the government of Imo State led by Senator Hope Uzodinma he described as God-sent, as he has within the period under review redefined the political, social and economic landscape of the State with his wealth of experience.
