July 30 (Newshour.com.ng) – The former State Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief. Barr. Marcellinus Nlemigbo, has commended Imo based ace journalists, Comrade Emmanuel Chukwu for his efforts to lunch two outstanding and mind-blowing books.
Chief Nlemigbo made the commendations at the lunching of the two books” Governor Hope Uzodimma and the collective war to liberate Imo, The Memoirs of a Journalist” and “Sorrows of Africa and How African leaders under develop Africa” at Rock View Hotel, Owerri Imo State, 27 Thursday, 2023 , while describing it as a Promotions for good governance, as Senator Hope Uzodimma has provided the State with visionary, infrastructural development and people oriented government.
Chief Nlemigbo pointed out that even in the era of higher technology and social media a Journalist Emmanuel Chukwu still have such a wonderful passion to effects positively on the society by the books which will be a sort out one for both politicians and students in the State school system.
He pointed out on the need for people to move back to the old reading culture system, adding hat before people used to borrow book and returned it back after reading.
In their separate remarks, Chief CDD Williams, Evang. Ethelbert Okere, Director General Imo Orientations and Mr Declan Anene publisher of The Lead Express Newspapers, described the author as Ace Journalists with editorial acumen to deal positively with the societal issues.
While promising to take the book directly to the governor Uzodimma. Dr, Okere said that the book will remained a turning point as it is from the journalistic angle. He disclosed that the issue of writing books for publication is a difficult task and encouraged the author not to be deterred but to continue in his efforts to publish more books.
Responding, Comrade Emmanuel Chukwu thanked those who came to associate with him for the book lunch and explained that the book on Africa have provided a platform to interrogate the effects of culture on Africa and to bring to notice the sorrows of corruption, slavery, colonialism, poverty and diseases by the inspiring leaders in Africa. On the one on Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chukwu said “certainly the essence of this book is not to compile the achievement of the Uzodimma’s Government, nor is it intended to spite any of the dramatis personae in the drama, rather it is a response to the internal pressure to bring to Public knowledge the interplay of forces in the process of having a successor after the exit of the government before Ihedioha. This would enable both the actors and citizens to learn necessary lessons in the realm of politics”.
