As the global socioeconomic activities are tilting towards distressed, Chief Stanley Obidiegwu, the Imo State Commissioner for Special Duties has identified renewable energy as the bedrock for advancement of technology in the 21st century.

Obidiegwu stated this as he ably represented Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo State at the well attended passing out ceremony of the twenty fourth (24) batch of participants of the training programme for Imo youths on Solar Installation and Maintenance organized and sponsored by the National Leader of Hope Rising For Imolites, Chief Success Akagburuonye at the Organisation’s National Secretariat Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise Local government area.

He expressed gratitude to Chief Success Akagburuonye(Akaraugo na Mbaise) saying that God bestowed in him with the blessings in which he is sharing the benefits to Imo and Nigerian youths at large.

The Commissioner advised Nigerian youths not to loose hope despite the present precarious economic situation insisting that all they need is direction to achieve their ambition in life.

Obidiegwu applauded Akagburuonye for his unflinching philanthropic gestures that entails his time, money and other resources in the overall benefits of the youths in Imo State and Nigeria at large.

He reiterated the message that Governor Uzodimma is passionate on things that would better the future and welfare of youths in the State and Nigeria at Large.

According to him, ” it’s the Hallmark of the Shared Prosperity government and 3 R administrative mantra of Governor Uzodimma for youths in the State to be gainfully employed so as to jettison anti social vices and frivolities”.

The Commissioner also informed that the State Government has advanced plans with some foreign investors to revive Owerri Standard Shoe Industries and dredging of Oguta Lake to Seaport and both when fully completed will give employment to over 20,000 Imolites directly and indirectly and majority of the employees would be youths.

The astute politician further reminded Nigerian youths the importance of acquiring skills despite their educational attainments insisting that days are gone when you go to tertiary institutions only to exhibit knowledge by speaking good grammar.

According to him “time has come if your grammar cannot put food on your table and the tables of other dependents your grammar is meaningless. You will be ashamed of yourself when people asks you about the monetary value of your spoken grammar. It’s an excellent quality when you have knowledge of grammar you fortify it with acquired skill for a living” he noted.

He pointed out that Governor Uzodimma’s commitments in tackling insecurities and other anti social vices is simply to secure the future of the youths and the society.

Obidiegwu insisted that it’s an incontrovertible truth that Governor Uzodimma’s administration is doing well as it recovered K.O. Mbadiwe University, Owerri Standard Shoes Industry, Avutu Modern Poultry, Obowo, Akaraigbo Farms Azaraegbelu among others.

The Commissioner expressed gratitude that the feats are in the overall interest of the populace while lamenting over the State lean resources, he also enjoined them on the need of given the State Government their maximum support and prayers.

He announced the efforts of the State government in making Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri to Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri.

Earlier in his speech, the National Leader of Hope Rising For Imolites, Chief Success Obioma Akagburuonye called on Imo youths to eschew the mentality of white collar jobs and venture into skills acquisition for posterity sake and thanked God for giving him the enabling grace in using his God given resources to touch lives.

Akagburuonye expressed joy that some of the beneficiaries of the training are now deeply involved in handling multi million Naira solar installation contracts and they are sincerely happy and grateful as they deliver.

The National Leader of Hope rising for Imolites and the philanthropic facilitator of the programme passionately advised the participants to be humble, dedicated as well as to always place God at the center of their lives so as to enable Him direct their paths in life.

Chief Akagburuonye also reiterated his appeal to the state government to establish solar stations across the 27 local government areas to sustain the training project, create employment opportunities and enhance power supply.

He advised the youths on the need to jettison frivolities and anti social vices tailored towards ridiculing themselves and the society and to shun wicked and desperate political jobbers who wants to use them and cause mayhem.

The philanthropist pointed out that the Governor is a child of destiny and he has covenant with God to make the State better, thus why he said all his administration’s programmes and projects are anchored on built to last philosophy.

The National Leader of Hope Rising for Imolites also gave thumbs up to the state government for its pragmatic efforts in the recovery of the state properties and rehabilitation of her decayed infrastructures as well as building bridges by reconciling with aggrieved stakeholders.

According to Chief Akagburuonye “when the youths are gainfully employed the future of the State is secured”.

He reiterated the need for them to be supportive and willing tools in the state government vision and mission of transforming the state.

Adding his voice, Chief Mike Nwachukwu, the Accord Party, Owerri Zone Senatorial Candidate who attended the function with Chief Emma Mezie, his campaign organization Director General applauded the facilitator for his involvement in human capital development.

Nwachukwu noted that Chief Akagburuonye diversed philanthropic nature deserves emulation and he prayed for God’s grace to be his portion and advised him not to relent saying that God has a way of rewarding every work .

He further described Chief Akagburuonye as Pillar of Youths in Imo State and Nigeria at large while assuring of his plans to ensure that he sponsored some youths of the 9 local government areas that constitutes the senatorial zone in the next batch of the training.

Some of the participants like Messrs Chukwu Chika Greg, Onyenakazi Chidimma Maryann, Okereke Everestus, Joshua Christian Okwuchukwu and Amawuru Clinton Arinze expressed gratitude to Chief Akagburuonye who’s popularly known as Akaraugo na Mbaise for giving them a sense of belonging and great opportunities to survive in this present socioeconomic crunch.

The highlights of the occasion which started with well attended church service at Assemblies of God Church, Ogbor Uvuru was presentation of certificates of certification to the graduands by the Governor’s representative together with the distinguished guests that attended the heart gladden occasion.
