The member representing Orlu State Constituency in Imo State House of Assembly,Hon. Paschal Okolie has sympathized with the families of the victims of unknown gunmen in his area.
In a chat with journalists yesterday,Hon. Okolie condemned in its entirety the incessant killings of his constituents by unidentified gunmen calling on whosever that is behind the dastardly act to please cease fire.
He stated that the insecurity has stagnated eventually all the activities in Orlu axis as it has affected his schedules to present his score-cards before his people.
The youthful lawmaker who visited the bereaved families of the Okporo,Orlu killings last weekend expressed shock calling on security operatives to apply proactive measures so as to forestall further killings.
Reacting on his chances to be reelected as the House of Assembly member come 2023,Hon. Okolie who has been consistence in his People’s Democratic Party, PDP noted that his people reelected him during the primary election based on his enviable track records.
According to him,his reelection will not only make him a ranking member, but would earn Orlu people opportunity of occupying a principal office in Imo State House of Assembly in the forthcoming general elections.
The PDP Assembly standard bearer expressed optimism that he will emerge victorious in the election assuring his people more effective representation.
“My track records are verifiable. The insecurity in Orlu has been an obstacle to all of us. And I can’t ask my people to come to Owerri for Constituency briefing.
I’m calling on Orlu people to reelect me as I can’t disappoint them”, the lawmaker submitted.
