The Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for Imo East Senatorial District, Hon. Barr. Uche Onyeagucha has mourned the death of one of the nation’s respected political leader, Sir Samson Onyeso Nwachukwu, OFR.

In a statement by his media aide, Macdonald Enwere and made available to newsmen, Onyeagucha describes Sir Onyeso Nwachukwu as a respected patriarch, quintessential leader, iconic Patriot and distinguished elder statesman who left indelible impressions and legacies in the annals of history.

The statement read in parts, “He  applauds Sir Onyeso Nwachukwu for his ebullient contributions for the peace and development of his community, Owerri zone and Imo state at large.

“Sir Onyeso Nwachukwu was a respected pan-Nigerian patriot who built bridges of unity and onesness across political leanings.
He was a member and Deputy Chief Whip of the Eastern Nigeria House of Assembly, State chairman of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in the old Eastern state and pioneer secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

“Hon Onyeagocha commiserates with the family of late Sir Onyeso Nwachukwu, the people of Ngor Okpala and Owerri zone and prayed God to grant his noble soul eternal rest until we meet at the feet of Jesus Christ on the resurrection morning.”
