The Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the February 25th general election, Mr Peter Obi and the United States Labour Party chapter led by Prof. Eddie Oparaoji have in their various capacities identified with the family of it’s slain party woman leader in Kaura LGA in Kaduna State who was murdered by yet to be identified gunmen.
It was a show of empathy and sense of belonging to the family in Southern Kaduna as the United States chapter of the Labour party commiserated with the husband and family members of late Mrs. Victoria Chintex.
The late Mrs. Victoria Chintex was until her untimely death, the party’s woman leader, in Kaura LGA of Kaduna State.
It will be recalled that Mrs Chintex was on Monday, 28th November 2022 gruesomely murdered by yet-to-be identified gunmen at her residence.
In a kind and uplifting gesture in honour to the late dedicated woman leader and to support the family, the Labour Party USA chapter led by Prof. Eddie Oparaoji on 21st January 2023 commiserated with the family and also extended financial support to the family of the deceased.
While presenting the money, a total sum of 1.5million Naira was presented to the family of late Mrs. Victoria Chintex by Hon. Chike Amadichi, Chairman Diaspora Committee, Labour Party at the Kagoro Emir Palace, in KAFANCHAN Southern Kaduna State.
While the USA chapter of the party donated seven hundred thousand naira (700,000) an additional support was also rendered by Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour party who supported the family with the sum of eight hundred thousand naira (800,000).
In his commendation to Mr Peter Obi and the USA Labour Party chapter led by Prof. Oparaoji for their magnanimity and support to the family, the national chairman of Labour Party, Barr. Julius Abure extended his gratitude to them for identifying with the family in this moment of grieve.
In a letter of appreciation sent through Labour Party USA chapter by the family of late woman leader, they used the opportunity to thank Labour Party Nigeria, the party’s Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, it’s USA chapter, all its aspirants and Labour Party leaders for their support and kind gesture in their moment of grieve.
According to the letter “We are overwhelmed by the this support and encouragement you sent to us, words are not enough but we deeply appreciate you all, we pray that God almighty will continue to protect, bless and encourage you all in Jesus name”
