Relieve Samdaddy as National Secretary, Imo PDP Stakeholders tell NWC

“It is on this pathetic note we, the Critical Stakeholders hereby call the attention of the National headquarters of PDP at the Wadata Plaza, Abuja to urgently look into this issue and relieve him of his duty as National Secretary so he can concentrate on his governorship ambition and forthrightly dispel widespread insinuations that he is working for the incumbent governor.”

26 (Newshour.com.ng) – The Imo PDP Stakeholders have asked the National Working Committee of the party to relieved Sen. Samue Nnaemeka Anyanwu as National Secretary.
In a letter signed by Chief Eric Ofodirinwa on behalf of Critical Stakeholders and made available to newsmen, the group accused Sen. Anyanwu of killing the party in the state.

See below what the stakeholders said;
The Ag. Chairman,
The National Working Committee, NWC,
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Wadata Plaza,
Abuja.

URGENT NEED FOR RESIGNATION OF THE NATIONAL SECRETARY

We, the Critical Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State Chapter, are visibly worried by the current shocking defections and decamping increasingly taking place in our great party, with Senator Samuel Anyanwu otherwise known as Samdaddy, as the governorship candidate in the November 11, 2023 polls.
In the last count, no fewer than 12 PDP stalwarts and hundreds of our great party’s followers across the state have left the PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
For instance, three serving Federal House of Representatives members of the PDP stock, yesterday, decamped to APC. They are, Rt Hon Bede Eke, representing Aboh Mbaise /Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Ikenna Elezieanya representing Owerri Federal Constituency and Rt Hon Henry Nwawuba representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency. All these members our party left because, in thier views and based on the prevailing circumstances in the Imo polity, the National Secretary of PDP, Samdaddy, has not shown any convincing latitude and seriousness that he is actually in contention for the November 11, 2023 governorship election as the candidate of the PDP and this is absolutely worrisome.
Added to this monumental disaster of defections substantially instigated and made manifest by Samdaddy’s ineptitude as the candidate of the party, is the fact that, with Samddady as the PDP governorship ticket holder, the party in Imo State is getting scattered, dismembered and heavily disconnected by the day that members are now asking if actually PDP is going into the November governorship election for victory, jamboree or just to pave way for the serving APC governor, a known ally of Samddady.
Taken together, it has been established that going by the gale of defections hitting the PDP, many serious minded members are afraid that Samdaddy is most likely going to join the APC any time soon, thereby providing the final brutal blow which may ultimately shatter our umbrella party into shreds and subsequently it will to your tents oh Israel for our dear party in Imo. But God forbid!!!
It is on this pathetic note we, the Critical Stakeholders hereby call the attention of the National headquarters of PDP at the Wadata Plaza, Abuja to urgently look into this issue and relieve him of his duty as National Secretary so he can concentrate on his governorship ambition and forthrightly dispel widespread insinuations that he is working for the incumbent governor.
More than anything else, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), the National Executive Council (NEC) and the Board of Trustees (BOT) must stop this his current chasing of frivolities whereby our governorship candidate attends virtually all PDP’s national assignments – both serious and tea party events – rather than working assiduously to make the party stronger, bigger and better for big governorship battle ahead.
In other words, it is situationally incorrect now that Samdaddy should be standing as both the governorship candidate as well as functioning in his current capacity as the National Secretary of our great party.
This is so because, based on the dangerous situation of the party in Imo on the account of the wave of defections caused by Samdaddy’s inability to manage the party in a post governorship primary election, there is the urgent need for him to fully concentrate on the governorship race than anything else.
In all, we want to make it critically clear that Imo PDP has been in disarray since the emergence of Samddady because of his lack of tack and lack of leadership direction. There is a state of despondence and hopelessness among Imo State PDP members in view of this vacuum.

A stich in time saves nine.
Signed:

Chief Eric Ofodirinwa
On behalf of Critical Stakeholders.
