August 31 (Newshour.com.ng) – Following the tremendous restoration of peace and stability in Imo State, the State Chapter of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his Shared Prosperity and 3 R administrative mantra’s commitment towards the protection of lives and properties of the populace.
The union stated this in a press statement dated Thursday 31st August,2023 issued and endorsed by Comrade Richard Ezeh and Sir Ungoro John, the Union’s State President and Secretary respectively
They also applauded the Governor over the hosting of Comrade Akeem Ambali, the Union’s National President and his entourage who recently paid an official visit to the State.
The union leaders expressed satisfaction on the extent of security protections and achieving a peaceful State which they insisted to have enabled social, economic and political activities to thrive in the State.
They pointed out that the union has benefited immensely with enhanced participation of their members across the 27 Local Government Councils throughout the planning, sanitization and mobilization stages of the recently postponed NULGE Local Branch elections in the 27 council secretariats of the State.
They opined that the peaceful disposition is a road map that would guarantee peaceful election and adequate security coverage will be deployed towards the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming governorship election in the State.
They equally recalled that Ambali commended Governor Uzodimma for his fatherly disposition in promising to reinstate and payroll the Union unpaid workers which when implemented, will promote industrial harmony in the Local Government Service of Imo State.
