South East Women Initiatives inaugrate Imo State Chapter

An NGO saddled with responsibilities of Protecting the rights of rural Women in the South East has inaugurated the Imo state Chapter of the Organisation.

President and Founder of the National NGO Hon. Amb. Amaka Okonkwo who also is a Serving House of Assembly Member for Onitsha- -North Local government in Anambra State while addressing the Women drawn from 27 LGA in Imo state urged them to brace up and assert their roles in Nation building and Families .
She admonished Participants to sustain the momentum of active Participation in decision making this time Opportunities are given to Women in the Nation.
She stated that the 21st Century recorgnises women as Co- Leaders in Nation building Processes and wondered why Women should be Passive.
The Anambra Lawmaker disclosed that the South East Women Initiative as an NGO is
focused on how to encourage and Protect the women Interests especially indigent Ones . Agricultural Practices and Skills that empower People are encouraged by the NGO , We have mapped out areas of assistance for women to assert their roles in the Nation. It is also incumbent on the South East Women Initiative to Mobilise women for Participation in governance as aparthy in the Past left urgly Notes on Nigerian Economy.
It’s high time we negate Some Cultures that encourages negative tendencies especially not given formal education to the girl- Child ,Hon Amb Amaka Okonkwo concluded as she handed the Symbol of authority for Imo Pillar of the South East Women Initiative to lady Mrs Chetachi Ike- iloanusi.

Asked if the organisation is Sponsored by any Party but , Soft Spoken woman activist said no adding that Politics is everything even in the Churches . She advised South East Women to get involved in Choosing Leaders Come 2023 and onwards. We will stand behind and fight for the Protection of Women who are being intimidated any thing and anywhere.
A patron of the organisation who is a royal Princess, Hon Princess Abiodun Philips Anyanwu in a Chat with Newsmen disclosed that the group is Poised to assert the Roles of Women in Choosing Leaders in the Society with their Population Strength Come 2023 .
Princess Abiodun Philips Anyanwu ( Nee Zeb-philips Nwosu) stated that the group would ensure that their husbands and Children Supports their Position in deciding who becomes Leaders in the Nation Come 2023.
Princess Abiodun Philips Anyanwu who is recknowned and respected amongst Igbo Women holds numerous Positions of Leaderships including , Imo state Cordinator Nzuko Ndigbo, Let’s talk Nigerians, Nigerian Youth Association Cordinator as well as Cordinator ,Farmers in Politics Imo state.
