From Everest Ezihe, Owerri
Worried by persistent blame to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State by some people on the level of insecurities in the State, Barr. Marcellinus Nlemigbo has advised the people to stop apportioning blames to the governor arguing that the Governor is strategically doing his best despite the challenges.
Nlemigbo who is the immediate past Imo State Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC gave this advise recently in his Marcon Group Conference room, Onitsha Road, Owerri, while addressing the State members of Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.
According to him” it’s absurd for any body to blame Governor Hope Uzodimma on matters concerning recent security breaches in the state, because the Governor is doing much to cushion that and the Presidency is helping him.
Please we should appeal to the unknown gun men and other dissident groups to give the State a peaceful chance. Governor Uzodimma has done well in all sectors of governance and therefore deserves a second tenure opportunity “, he pointed out.
He decried the Monday’s sit at home in the South East allegedly instituted by the leadership of Indigenous People’s of Biafra, IPOB, noting that the actions are crippling the economy of the zone.
The astute politician applauded the Nigerian media for living up to their social responsibilities and enjoined them not to relent.
Nlemigbo who’s also the President of Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru (Mbaike) People’s Assembly further solicited for mutual synergy between media practitioners in the state and the APC led State Government lamenting that the Shared Prosperity and 3 R administrative mantra of Governor Uzodimma are unjustly under reported.
The President reiterated that Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency is maintaining their zoning arrangements and that in the forthcoming elections that the zoning favours the son or daughter of Ikeduru extraction.
