September 7(Newshour.com.ng) – A group known as Mbaise Political Forum (MPF), has come strongly against the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate for the November 11, 2023, in Imo State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu otherwise known as Samdaddy, on his incessant abuses and blackmails on the immediate past governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.
In a release signed by the secretary of the group, Hon. Jonathan Onyeneke, and made available to journalists, Mbaise Political Forum made it abundantly clear that Samddady using a non existent name, Ethelbert Nwachukwu as spokesman of Mbaise Leadership Front, to denigrate Ihedioha as Governor Hope Uzodimma’s errand boy smacks of arrant insult and catalogue of blackmails replete with abuses.
According to the release, “We, the Mbaise Political Forum, MPF, have observed with great dismay, Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s unbridled arrogance and unprovoked attacks which came in form of severe blackmail, derogatory abuses and insults on the person and personality of His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.
“It is unfathomable that Samdaddy who had benefited immensely from Ihedioha’s political structure and milk of kindness as it was on his back that the former Ikeduru LGA Imo State House of Assembly representative rode to emerge the senator representing Owerri Zone in 2015, would pour such venom on his benefactor”.
The MPF called on Samddady to immediately face his campaigns as the PDP governorship candidate by marshalling to the electorate and the entire Imo State masses his campaign manifestos and electoral promises.
“It is a pity that while other candidates for the November 11 governorship election in the state have been touring the nook and cranny of Imo, marketing thier manifestos and telling Imolites why the electorate should vote for them, the PDP candidate, Senator Anyanwu, is busy with the reckless and meaningless jamboree of blackmailing the man on whose structure he rose as both a senator and national secretary of PDP. We therefore call on Samdaddy to face his governorship electioneering and leave Ihedioha alone”, MPF warned.
Vividly and pointedly reminding Samdaddy of how he mindlessly destroyed Imo State chapter of the PDP purely for his selfish gains and interest against the larger fortunes of the party, the group noted that the national secretary of PDP was not in any contest for the November 11 election as he was only anxiously waiting to fail abysmally in the poll and then would go into a fresh negotiation with the Imo State APC on how to brutally burry the umbrella party in Imo.
It is the view of the MPF that all the maladies that are currently ravaging PDP in Imo State were orchestrated by Samdaddy who had no capacity whatsoever but ultimately used his capacity as the national secretary to grab the Imo State PDP governorship ticket. It is in public domain that the moment Samddady emerged as an unopposed, the PDP candidate for the November 11 election, the party has been losing its members in droves, including former house of representatives members and even members of the elders council among other high ranking leaders in the state.
Onyeneke, noted that Samdaddy, having been a victim of his own failings to turn around now to abuse, harass and blackmail Ihedioha for this purpose is a mark of stupidity and an infantile act on the side of the national secretary. He pointed out that it must have to be placed on record that Ihedioha had never been known as a man who plays double standards as he is a straight politician who says things as they and does not beat about the bush.
MPF observed that Samdaddy is convinced now that the Imo masses are not buying into his campaigns and thus he is now drastically courting for something to hold on to as an excuse as his failure in the forthcoming governorship election in staring him in the face.
Concluding, the MPF urged Samdaddy not to in anyway descend too low in blackmailing Ihedioha in any form of press or social media platforms as such an action would only further burry his ambition.
