August 2 (Newshour.com.ng) – In a world full of iconoclastic dispositions, there are men who naturally appreciate those who stop at nothing to see to it that humanity get the better part of their generosity. Uchechukwu G. Nwanaju is one of such fair minded personalities.
The Man, U. G. Nwanaju Esq, is a spin – off of Umudimezeji, Umunuhu, Nsu, in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. He is a foundation member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and currently as the Campaign Council Chairman, Ihitte – Nsu Ward ‘B’.
The political paradigm and/or ideology of Uchechukwu G. Nwanaju anchors on conservatism. He exudes passion in his approach to political engagements and holds in high esteem the doctrine of political correctness.
U. G. Nwanaju Esq holds the following qualifications to the glory of God: he holds a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC); a West African Examination Council (WAEC) Certificate: a Diploma in Computer Application; a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) Degree in Political Science; a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Degree in Law; a BL in Law, having passed out from the Nigerian Law School, with meritorious performance; a Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy.
A man with the midas touch, U.G. Nwanaju loves the good developmental strides of the Imo State Governor Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko). He expresses and preaches the good things His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma has put in place for the good of Imo State and Imolites.
Hear him: “It was like play but determinedly, our amiable Governor Most Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko) proved doubting Thomases wrong, who mocked at his initial developmental moves in the state, wrong as he seamlessly fixed the Owerri – Orlu and Owerri Okigwe Highways in less than three years of his administration.
“When he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the giant construction company Julius Berger, soon after assuming the Governorship position in Imo State, to undertake those major road rehabilitations, the opposition went to work, describing the move as a huge joke. But sooner or later, he proved his mettle by, in his characteristic wisdom, engaging a world class construction company Craneburg that has presently achieved the same goal expected from Julius Berger.”
Continuing, Nwanaju exuded: “Onwa Oyoko is a Development – minded personality. He begins his developmental indices by first developing his fellow human beings. Just like the late political colossus Chief Obafemi Awolowo once said, ‘Man is the prime mover of every economy. First develop man, then you develop the economy. This succinctly fits into the life philosophy of our able Governor Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma.”
Nwanaju also pointed out other Developmental efforts of the Governor. “The same way our Governor has reconstructed the Owerri – Orlu and Owerri – Okigwe Roads, is same way he has continued the reconstruction of Owerri – Mbaise – Obowo – Umuahia Road, with same speed,” he said.
Furthering, he said: “Onwa Oyoko has the magic wand. He has done what Napoleon could not do. The beauty of it all is that he has, in the process of these road infrastructural revolutions solved perennial problems that have bedevilled the state for a long time, which proved intractible to many past administrations in Imo State.
“Take for instance the Ekemele axis at Akabo in Ikeduru LGA, which caused so much loss of man – hour, by creating daily heavy traffic dreadlocks, which frustrated motorists at that time. Today it is now a thing of the past. Movement around Ekemele today is zoom zoom.
“If you can remember how impassible Chukwuma Nwoha Street in Owerri Town used to be, you will wonder what magic our Governor made to get the disturbing portion of that road under control, thereby making the road passable with ease.”
Nwanaju also extolled the virtues of Governor Uzodimma in other areas of his developmental strides in Imo State. Said he: “The Governor has equally made great exploits in human capacity Development. He has provided skills acquisition training for thousands of youths in Imo State. His SkillUp Imo project is one in town. Many Imo youths are benefitting from it. In other words, his E – Governance in Imo State is second to none. He has brought unbridled reforms in the state civil service which has put smiles on the faces of civil servants in the state. He began that by providing the ‘Shared Prosperity’ buses that take Imo civil servants to and from work every work day. He re – vitalized the promotion scheme for civil servants, which past administrations abandoned for many years. He has equally paid thirteenth month salary, otherwise known as bonus pay to civil servants in three years.
“I believe that the master stroke of Governor Uzodimma’s Developmental efforts is the dredging of Orashi River in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, which he initiated and made the former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to flag off this year. This is one lasting legacy, comparable to none, which our indomitable quintessential Governor will leave for his people of Imo State on completion. If we begin to recount the great achievements of our infallible Governor, within a short space of time, it will lead to night fall. In short Onwa Oyoko is simply wonderful. He is too much.
Concluding, Nwanaju stated: “With all these achievements, tell me who amongst all those who have come out to challenge him in the Governorship contest, that has put in place one hundredth of all the Governor’s achievements. Imo people cannot make the mistake of shunning Onwa to vote in who will come and mess up his good works.
“Onwa Oyoko carry go. Your second tenure is guaranteed. November 11 Governorship election is a goal.”
