The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Isiala-mbano state constituency seat in 11th March election, Hon. Engr. Chima Akuzie, has urged the electorates from the area to throng out enmass to exercise their franchise on Saturday 11th of March, 2023, without any fear of molestation, rigging or malfunction of BVAS.
The candidate, while addressing the people of Umuebi Ugiri in Isiala-mbano council area of Imo state, said what happened on 25th February, 2023, where some electorates were disenfranchised due to the inability of the BVAS to upload results, won’t repeat itself.
Akuzie who hails from Umuneke Ugiri told the people of his readiness to represent the constituency at the hallowed chamber, stressing that Ugiri has been left politically bare since after the tenure of Simeon Iwunze (Whiteman).
The mechanical engineer and philanthropist of international repute further reminded the people of his long term humanitarian services both in Isiala-mbano and beyond, promising to bring landmark development in the area if voted in as their lawmaker.
“What Isiala-mbano needs at this time is a person who is more for the people than himself. We will no longer make the mistake of voting in an absentee lawmaker who visits home once in a blue moon.
“You all know that Chima Akuzie is for the people and also a homeboy who grew up in the village and know the heartbeat of the people.
“I am not boasting, I remain the most qualified and credible candidate that has so much love from my people. I eat, drink and play with the youth any place I meet them. That is what is called being accessible. All of them have my phone numbers and call me at will. They are my friends.
“Some of them who are contesting don’t come close to you. Once they get your mandate, they will run away but Chima is here with you anytime, any day.
“Mind you, Governor Uzodinma is the father of Imo state and does not have special love for some people. He loves all the candidates contesting. So do not think that your votes will be in vain. The Governor is also my friend.
“Don’t allow what happened on last Saturday stop you from voting on 11th of March. I urge you to come out in your numbers and vote for ADC, the second party on the ballot paper where two hands are joined together. By His grace, we shall come out victorious.”
Contributing, the former executive chairman of Isiala-mbano LGA, Hon. Jude Mbachu, said that he rejoined politics to support Chima Akuzie to victory, after living a private life for many years.
According to him, Engineer Chima Akuzie possesses the requisite knowledge and exposure to bring about dividends of democracy through viable motions and bills.
He recalled that he once contested against him (Chima Akuzie) but honorably stepped down for him when he remembered how he took him to the former President, Ebele Goodluck Jonathan, and signed a multi-million naira contract for him.
He further urged the people not to miss this golden opportunity of voting Akuzie to the House of Assembly, assuring the people of a better representation under him.
Pastor Chilos Godsent, the ADC National Vice Chairman and other notable personalities also spoke in superlative terms about the candidate, reaffirming their unalloyed support for him.
